Early 19th Century Chinese Export Porcelain Bowls
Item Details
A pairing of early 19th century Chinese export porcelain bowls. The wash basin is delicately hand decorated to illustrate a botanical landscape scene at the center with insects, foliate and animal cartouches at the scalloped rim. The overall palette is in soft muted enamels. The smaller dessert saucer is hand decorated in a pink and blue floral center pattern atop a white field, finished with a scallop dot pattern to the subtly scalloped rim. The pieces are without discernible maker’s marks and are likely dated to the late 18th to early 19th century.
