A hand-knotted Persian Birjand wool and silk area rug. The area rug features a repeating herati pattern in a palette of rose, scarlet, blue and tan against a cream colored field. It has a compound border with, the main border has a herati pattern on a scarlet field. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges with natural wool warp fringe to the ends.
