A signed, limited edition bronze sculpture titled Earth Entry by listed artist and activist Trevor Southey (Californa/Utah/South Africa, 1940 – 2015). The sculpture pictures a textured, elongated figure whose body twists through the sculpture’s visual space, resting on one shoulder. The sculpture is mounted to a rectangular walnut base. A tag attached to the base gives the artist’s name and piece’s title.

Southey was born in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), and emigrated to the United States in his 20s. He studied art at the Brighton College of Art in Sussex and Brigham Young University, where he would eventually go on to teach. In 1997, the artist published a large retrospective book of his art career, titled Reconciliation. His work is housed in the private collections of notable figures, including actress Brook Shields and Senator Orrin Hatch.
