"Kinsey Reports" with Signed First Edition "Sexual Behavior in the Human Female"

A complete two volume set of Alfred Kinsey’s Sexual Behavior in the Human Male (1948) and Sexual Behavior in the Human Female (1953). The two volumes together are known as the Kinsey Reports, and though controversial in their time, are considered groundbreaking works in the study of human sexuality. The Female volume is a first edition, signed to the front endpaper by Kinsey with a personal dedication: ‘To Mary Elizabeth Colby, with thanks, Alfred C. Kinsey, 2.27.56’. The signature has been independently authenticated by James Spence Authentication. Both volumes are published by W.B. Saunders Company of Philadelphia and London, bound in burgundy cloth hardcovers.
