1848 First Edition "Dombey and Son" by Charles Dickens

An 1848 first edition, later issue of Charles Dickens’ Dombey and Son published by Bradbury and Evans of London. Previously issued in twenty monthly parts, this is the first one-volume book edition. It features an engraved frontispiece and title page, and 38 plates. Includes the following first edition points: Two-line errata, the plate listed as p. 223 is on p. 233. Bound in the original publisher’s variant green cloth covered boards, with stamped boards and gilt spine lettering. Note the 1912 Dickens centenary stamp to the interior of the front board.
