Westmorland "Lady Hilton" Sterling Silver Flatware in Case

A selection of sterling silver flatware by Westmorland Sterling Co. (active 1940-2001), manufactured by Wallace Silversmiths and housed in a mahogany storage chest. This is in the Lady Hilton pattern, designed by Henrik Hillbom and introduced in 1940, featuring a flared handle with patterned edges and a scrolled tip. The forty-seven piece selection includes seven forks, eight each salad forks, teaspoons, iced teaspoons and hollow-handled dinner knives, a sugar spoon, three serving spoons, a serving fork, ladle, master butter knife and pickle fork, all marked “Westmorland Sterling” to the backs of the handles. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives with stainless blades, is 47.670 ozt. In addition to the flatware and case, a glass salt cellar and sterling Lady Hilton spoon plus two cloth flatware rolls are included.
