Hepplewhite Style Myrtle Dresser and Mirror

A beautiful myrtle veneered dresser with serpentine front and sides, and wall mounted mirror in the Hepplewhite style, circa 1930. This striking piece has four dovetailed drawers, with dividers and accessory insert to top drawer. Constructed primarily of mahogany, the dresser has a beautiful luster to the finish, with book matched burled veneers, medallion to center front of top drawer, and splayed french bracket feet with acanthus leaf carving. The mirror pediment reflects the serpentine shapes of the dresser; with a beautiful pierced arch with acanthus leaf design to center, and applied wood swags. Dresser is stamped ‘MYRTLE’ to back. Companion to items 14CIN017-003, 147 and 148.
