An Indo-Persian inspired decorative wood and repoussé metal box from Maitland-Smith. The wood-frame box has an octagonal profile with a dome-shaped hinged lid and brass clasp to the front. The box is decorated with bands of repoussé and foliate pierced metal to the edges and base. It is marked ‘Maitland-Smith Hand Made In India’ to the bottom.
