A W. C. Fields composite doll made circa 1928 by the Effanbee Doll Company. This 18.00’ tall doll features composition shoulders and head with sculpted brown hair and hands, a cloth torso with wooden legs and shoes painted black. He displays hand painted blue eyes, a prominent nose, and a hinged jaw with painted teeth with a pull string to the back that no longer works. W. C. Fields was a comedian, whose long career spanned vaudeville, stage, silent films, talkies, and the radio. Marked to the dolls back is ‘W.C. Fields an Effanbee Product’.
