Gorham Sterling Silver Sauce Bowl with Attached Underplate, 1894
Item Details
An antique sterling silver sauce or mayonnaise bowl by Gorham. The bowl features a raised scroll-and-shell motif rim and is attached to a matching underplate, which has been engraved with the initials ‘CSL’. It is hallmarked to its underside and additionally marked with an 1894 Gorham date mark, a ‘Sterling’ fineness mark, and shape number 35. This piece has an approximate weight of 4.665 ozt.
