Japanese Handwoven Silk Haori Jacket and Chinese Embroidered Tangzhuang Jacket

A vintage handwoven Japanese silk crested haori jacket and an embroidered Chinese silk tangzhuang jacket. The red haori jacket is hand decorated in yuzen resist-dyed design featuring a multicolor autumn leaf motif and five mon (crest), two to the chest and three along the top of the back. It has haori-himo (ties) to the front and a patterned silk lining. The navy tangzhuang jacket is styled with a book-matched embroidered design in multicolor threads offering flower, butterfly and leaf motifs. It has gold trim and frog buttons and an olive green lining.

- haori jacket has a few pulls, holes to one sleeve and some areas of discoloration; tangzhuang jacket has a snags.
