A Chinese red lacquered elm altar stand, mid-19th century. This piece features a rectangular top with two raised edges above a central drawer flanked by a carved panel to each side. The lower base features two cabinet doors opening to an interior storage space. The altar rises on reeded legs. There are no visible maker’s marks. This piece includes a Certificate of Antiquity.
