This pastoral landscape features multiple figures docking their boats along a muddy riverbank. The scene is rendered with detailed, layered brushstrokes and luminous hues. It is signed ‘John Constable’ to the lower left by an unknown hand and is presented in a beveled wooden frame with ornate gilt gesso moulding.
