A vintage set of sterling silver flatware in the King Edward pattern by Gorham, designed by J. Russell Price and first introduced in 1936. The set includes sixteen dinner forks, five salad forks, twenty-five teaspoons, eight soup spoons, six demitasse spoons, nine dessert forks, sixteen dinner knives with stainless steel blades, one gravy ladle, one lemon fork, four tablespoons, one serving fork, and a hollow handled carving set. These pieces feature floral motif handles with scrolled acanthus motif trim, and are marked to their undersides ‘M Gorham Sterling Pat.’ The set is presented in a cherry wood silverware chest with brown anti-tarnish fabric lining. These pieces, excluding the hollow handled carving set and dinner knives, have a total approximate weight of 91.385 ozt.
