An antique cast iron Griswold No. 3 mailbox. This heavy wall mount mailbox features a hinged lid, a lock loop, an embossed foliate design with a hole for viewing if mail is present. The mailbox presents a black finish and is marked “ No.3 Mail Box” to its lid. The backside presents embossed lettering that reads Griswold MFG. Co. Erie, Pa U.S.A. From one of America’s most successful makers of antique and vintage household products.
