A pair of limited edition mixed metal plates by Reed & Barton commemorating the Kentucky Derby. The plates are constructed of silver plate, brass and copper, with one issued in 1972 and the other in 1974 to honor the 100th anniversary of the Kentucky Derby. Each plate features a border of roses, with the 1972 plate having an image of the final turn at Churchill Downs and the second engraved with an image of Aristides, the first winner of the Kentucky Derby. The 1972 plate is #417/1000 and the 1974 plate is #108/1500.
