Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Mashayekhi Tabriz wool and silk rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of salmon, ivory, blue, brown, green, violet, and gray. The salmon colored field begins with a large layered pendant medallion enclosed by coordinating spandrels with ground colors of light blue, brown, and gray, while featuring an allover intricate herati design. Framing the field is a main stylized herati border over ivory, along with floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a long cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
