Antique Tibetan Scripts
Item Details
A framed pair of what appear to be antique Tibetan scripts, handwritten in ink, on laid paper. There are two pages of characters, written horizontally, visually similar to the Tibetan tradition of xylographic books. Though the character structure would appear perhaps to be slightly more fluid, it is most likely Tibetan and almost surely one of many Sino-Tibetan languages. The pages are framed in tandem, one above the other, and floated on a creme backing with a grey mat to edge in a glossy black composite frame.
Condition
Good-Fair, both pages show considerable wear consistent with their age, the frame exhibits some wear to edge mostly in the form of scratching.
