Meanwell is a renowned Cincinnati artist who painted in a wide spectrum from realism to abstract expressionist art. He was well-known for his dramatic, abstract landscapes painted in bright colors and bold strokes, and his dynamic gestural drawings. Meanwell was born in Windsor, Canada and taught at the Cincinnati Art Academy for over twenty five years. Most of his work is inspired from his island in McGregor Bay, Ontario Canada. He holds a special place among collected Cincinnati painters.
