Antique German Belsnickle Astride a Papier-Mâché Platform Horse
Item Details
An antique German hand painted papier-mâché Belsnickle astride a platform horse pull toy. The St. Nick figure wears a white rabbit fur beard, red felt robe, blue trousers and a sack of toys on his back ( most likely a later addition). The platform horse is posed with his head tilted to one side and the platform retains the original metal wheels, it is stamped ‘Germany’ to the bottom.
