An antique German papier-mâchè candy container in the form of a Belsnickle (Santa) carrying a beaded plush Christmas tree. The Belsnickle figure wears a red hooded robe and blue pants with a white rabbit fur beard and hand painted face. The upper body of him removes to reveal a hollow interior that would have held candy to delight children at the turn of the last century.
