Antique Belsnickle On Sheep Figurine
An antique papier-mâchè and felt figurine in the form of a sheep with Belsnickle (Santa) astride his back. The Belsnickle figure wears a light red hooded robe a white wool beard and is holding a small brush tree. The sheep has a hand decorated paper maché face, wooden legs and cotton fabric body. The Santa and sheep are a married design with later bell, ribbon and oval box as later additions.
