Condition

- to fair; overall with various scratches, dents, marks, chips, cracks, and abrasions consistent with age and use; structurally stable; the top section and base possibly associated; scattered veneer cracks, chips/losses, and repairs; slant lid is bowed; leather writing surface has been replaced and with a split as well as stains/marks; slant lid hinges re-set (repairs to mounts) and with later screws; drawer handles are associated and those on the bottom drawer do not match the others; some former pest damage (worming) with associated marks, mostly to secondaries; back of one drawer secondary with large mouse chew losses; lower section with replaced backboard; upper section with three adjustable shelves but only two pairs of fitted supports.
