An Hermès Paris Chansons de France silk pocket square, designed by Philippe Ledoux with an issue date of 1959. The design, translated to ‘Songs from France’ depicts musical notes and song lyrics in French along with a tinted scene representing those lyrics, two to each side at the border and four surrounding the center title. Additionally, the design includes a cluster of instruments to each corner rendered in gold joined together by a scroll pattern. It is marked ‘Chansons de France Hermès Paris’ to the center, ‘Ledoux’ to the lower right corner and ‘© Hermès’ to the upper left corner; all to a white background. It is constructed of hand-rolled sewn edges, has an attached fabric tag marked ‘Made in France’ and includes an appropriately themed original presentation box.
