An oil painting on board by an anonymous artist, after the original painting Portrait of Beatrice Cenci attributed to Italian Baroque painter Guido Reni (1575 – 1642). The painting depicts the eponymous young Roman noblewoman who was executed for the murder of her father, Count Francesco Cenci. This work is unsigned. It is housed in a wood frame with cast foliate embellishments and a gilt finish.

Condition

- board is slighlty bowed and has shifted to frame. Small area of paint loss to upper center edge. Craquelure and light accretion across painting surface. Cracking and light accretion to frame.

- measures frame. Visible image measures 12.75" W x 15.75" H.
