An English sterling silver inkwell by A & J Zimmerman in commemoration of the 1937 coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. This piece features a round design with an embossed portrait of the King and Queen with red, white, and blue enameled accents that reads, ‘King George VI – Queen Elizabeth – Coronation 1937’. It is hallmarked to the back of the inkwell and additionally marked with a Birmingham anchor city mark, a passant sterling fineness mark, and a 1936 letter ‘M’ date mark.
