Semi-Antique Hand-Knotted Persian Kerman Wool Palace Sized Rug

Item Details

A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Kerman wool rug. This large rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, blue, pink, red, brown, and beige. The ivory hued field is populated with an ornate floral design beginning with a central medallion enclosed by an abundance of sprays and bouquets. Framing the field is a crenelated main light blue grounded border equally elaborate patterned with a number of blooms, leaves, and medallions, along with notched guard borders tucked through the arrangements. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe with an embroidered kilim skirt to the ends. It is unlabeled.
