A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of soft red-pink, ivory, blue-violet, teal, light blue, and brown. The soft red hued field is populated by a large-scale star pendant medallion enclosed by ivory grounded spandrels, while featuring serrated leaves and rectilinear designed floral motifs throughout. Framing the field is a main blue-violet grounded samovar border, as well as a pair of carnation meander guard borders, and a floret and box minor border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
