Hand-Knotted Persian Tabriz Wool Room Sized Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Tabriz wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, blue-violet, light blue, ivory, pink, green, tan, yellow, peach, and black. The red hued field begins with a lobed pendant medallion enclosed by light blue grounded spandrels. It features an allover rectilinear floral design with palmettes, leaves, and vine-work. Framing the field is a main blue-violet grounded stylized herati border, as well as floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled ‘Tabriz’, ‘Made in Iran’.
