An abstract oil painting on wrapped canvas by Yugoslavian artist, Savo Radulovich (1911 – 1991). The painting depicts three laborers on their way to work wearing navy blue work uniforms carrying hand tools over their shoulders. The piece is unframed and signed to the lower left. It is also dated 1937 to the verso with a personal message to a friend, signed by Savo Radulovich.
Abstract artist, Savo Radulovich, was born in Montenegro, Yugoslavia in 1911. He later moved and settled in New York City where he began his career as a painter and graphic artist. He later studied at the Saint Louis School of Fine Arts and Washington University in St. Louis. This particular painting was created during the WPA (Works Progress Administration) era.
