Hand-Knotted Turkmen Ersari Bokhara Wool Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Turkmen Ersari Bokhara wool rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of red, indigo, and brown. The deep red hued field features a lattice of taghan guls, along with small memling guls. Framing the field is a main stylized kochak border, as well as almond blossom guard borders, and a number of geometrically designed minor borders. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a wool and goat hair warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
