A hand-knotted Persian Heriz room-sized rug. The wool rug features a geometric pattern with center medallion on a brick red field inside a lozenge with an indigo field, with other colors in the palette including camel, sage, taupe, slate blue and ivory. The primary border is an unresolved turtle border on brick red field with coordinating guard borders. The rug finishes with a narrow kilim strip and natural warp fringe.
