A vintage Persian Heriz Serapi room-sized rug. This wool rug features a burgundy field with a central medallion surrounded by a densely populated field, stepped at the ends and having angled lozenges extending towards the corners. The carpet is rendered in deep tones of burgundy, charcoal, cream, medium blue, caramel and forest. A wide primary border is framed by coordinating guard borders with boteh motifs.
