A vintage, hand-knotted Persian Nain room-sized rug. The wool rug is worked in a palette of navy, sky blue, rust, cranberry and olive, with a round central medallion on a navy ground. The field is populated with serrated and lancet leaves, lotus flowers and filler palmettes. The spandrels echo the central medallion, and the field is framed by stacked guard borders and a wide primary border of lotus flowers and carnation flowers in the field colors.
