French Écu d’Or hammered gold coin of Charles VI, ca. 1389. Obverse: KAROLVS DEI GRATIA FRANCORVM REX, crowned shield. Reverse: XPC VINCIT XPC REGNAT XPC IMPERAT, cross fleurée, with a star in the center, all within a quatrefoil. Metal Content: 99% gold, 1% silver. Diameter: 28 mm. Weight: 3.9 grams. Coin is circulated and in good condition.
