A mid 20th-century oil painting on board after a Western illustration by William Robinson Leigh (1866 – 1955). This work features a profile view of a seated cowboy holding his gun case while he smokes a cigarette, portrayed in the style of a Hollywood poster illustration. The work bears the signature “W.R. Leigh” to the lower left, but is likely a copy painting after a work by Leigh. The composition is presented in a carved wood frame with a gold tone finish.

- minor scratches and finish loss throughout the frame; small nail perforations and minor sight edge abrasion to the edges of painting; minor scratches and negligible residue throughout the composition.
