A hand-lettered title and subtitle reading ‘Erste Schweizer Pfeifenfabrik A.G./Gegr. 1878/ Kleinliitzel, (near Basel,) Switzerland (First Swiss pipe factory A.G./Gegr. 1878 / Kleinliitzel, (near Basel,) Switzerland)’ are present to the upper right. The piece is signed ‘C. Prell’ to the lower right. It is mounted within white matting and presented unframed.
