Jean-Claude Novaro "Flacon" Art Glass Bottle

Item Details

A blown glass Flacon decorative bottle by Jean-Claude Novaro (French, 1943-2014). The large piece features a bulbous form with a swirling abstract design in black and grey trails to the mottled pale lavender body accented by gold leaf. A spherical stopper rests in the short rounded neck and the piece is signed ‘J-C Novaro 2005’ to the underside. Novaro began studying glassmaking at 14 and founded his own studio in 1977.
