Meiji Period Tansu Stackable Chest of Drawers
Item Details
A Meiji period (1868-1912) tansu stackable chest of drawers. The chests feature tongue and groove construction reinforced with hammered nails. Two of the three individual chests bear metal handles to the sides. Includes thirteen drawers with metal pulls, some hidden behind hinged or sliding doors with beige brocade patterned fabric detailing. The piece is unmarked.
