Born in 1884 in Vienna, Hans Frank was an acclaimed painter, graphic artist, printer and professor at the Academy for Graphic Art in Vienna. After serving as an artillery regiment officer in World War I, he traveled extensively throughout Italy, France and Austria. Notable exhibits include an exhibit at the Vienna Secession in 1912 and 1913. During his career, he received numerous awards including the Golden State Medal in 1908, the Silver Medal of the City Graz, the Prize of the City Vienna in 1931, the Goldene Ehrenmedaille des Wiener Künstlerhauses in 1934, and the Kriehuber-Preis der Stadt Wien in 1944 and many others.
