A 1978 titled ‘Kentucky Wildcats’ color lithograph by well-listed sports artist LeRoy Neiman. Originating from the Jim and Pat Host Collection, this lithograph depicts a heated basketball game between St. Johns and the Kentucky Wildcats, with Kentucky player Jack Givens (No. 21) preparing to shoot the ball, guarded by St. John’s player No. 24, Kentucky player Mike Phillips (No. 55) assisting. Also features Kentucky players Rick Robey (No. 53), Kyle Macy (No. 4) and James Lee (No. 32) The work is typical of Neiman’s brilliantly colored, impressionistically rendered pieces, with dynamism and action inherent in the quick brushstrokes and vibrant splashes of color. This lithograph is displayed under glass in an off-white matt housed in a gold metallic frame. There is a metal wire on the backside for mounting purposes.
