Circa 1900 Mesh Chatelaine Bag Embellished with Faceted Cut Purple Glass
Item Details
A circa 1900 antique gold tone mesh chatelaine bag with an Art Nouveau rhinestone embellished frame. The oval frame with a kiss lock clasp presents an intricate openwork design of arabesque, scroll and floret motifs, featuring a large fleur-de-lis adornment to the center of the frame and to the top clip, with faceted cut amethyst color glass throughout. The frame includes a mirror to the interior of the lid and the bag is unlined. Ball fringe decorates the lower edge of the bag.
