A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Mashhad room-sized rug. This wool rug features a red ridged-lozenge shaped central field with a medallion, two pendants, spandrels, and floral and foliate patterns. The principal and minor borders also display floral and foliate patterns. Overall the rug utilizes a color palette of red, pink, dark blue, pale blue, green, orange, light brown, black, and white. This rug has been finished with natural warp white cotton fringe, and it is unmarked.
