A semi-antique hand-knotted Northwest Persian runner. This wool rug features a dark blue central field with a red diamond-shaped medallion, red sawtooth spandrels, and heavily populated with floral and foliate patterns. There is a principal border between two minor borders, and each of these borders are unresolved and displays a leaf and calyx pattern. Overall, the rug utilizes a color palette of dark blue, pale blue, red, pink, pale yellow, brown, light brown, black, and white. This rug has been finished with natural warp white cotton fringe, and it is unmarked.
