A fine hand-knotted Indo-Persian Heriz Serapi rug. This wool rug features white lozenge-shaped primary central field with a pale yellow medallion and two light blue pendants, as well as a red secondary central field with dark blue spandrels. Both central fields are populated throughout with floral and foliate patterns. The principal border displays a herati pattern against a dark blue background, and there are two green minor borders to either side that have floral patterns within. Overall, this rug utilizes a color palette of red, pink, light blue, dark blue, green, gold, pale yellow, brown, and white. The rug is finished with natural warp white cotton fringe, and it is unmarked.
