A late 19th to early 20th-century oil landscape painting on canvas by well-listed American painter Lawton Silas Parker (Illinois/California/France; 1868 – 1954). This Impressionist scene depicts a springtime garden scene in Washington, D. C., the capitol building rising above the trees on the horizon. Artist signature is signed to the lower left. This painting is mounted in a beveled wood frame with cast moulding and a gold tone finish.
