A machine woven wool area rug by Karastan in the Village Garden pattern from the Chahar Mahal Collection, based on Bakhtiari patterns. This 100% New Zealand wool rug has a pattern typical of Bakhtiari garden designs, featuring a garden panel pattern of stylized floral elements in various shades of pink, blue, black, green, white and beige. It has a wide, dark blue primary border with a stylized Samovar motif, serged edges, and sewn-on fringe. The rug is tagged with the maker’s label to reverse.
