Empire Style Mahogany Plantation Desk, 19th Century
Item Details
A mahogany plantation desk. The bookcase top has a curved cornice and beaded trim, which also appears framing the flame veneered doors. They open to wooden shelving over a compartmentalized section. The drawer has a curved front and hand cut dovetail joints. The desk’s back legs have a ball turn above block legs on double ball feet, while the front are cabriole curved.
