Semi-Antique Hand-Knotted Persian Bijar Wool Rug

A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Bijar accent rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in tones of deep red, medium blue, pink, khaki-gold, tan, and ivory. It commences with a serrated diamond medallion, infilled with geometric floral and foliate motifs and flanked by diminutive pendants. The field is densely populated with a rectilinear herati motif comprised of diamonds, rosettes, and oak leaves. Framing the field are floral meander guard borders, while the primary border displays a Seraband motif over ivory. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
