A vintage hand-knotted Caucasian Akstafa wool rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of blue, red, cream, golden yellow, green, and brown. The indigo hued field features three arrow shaped medallions, along with vase forms, peacocks, palmettes, floral motifs, and other rectilinear designed symbols. Framing the field is a main leaf and blossom border over red, along with a pair of chained boteh guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
